Stainless Steel Plates Available Grades
We supply stainless steel plates in austenitic (300 series) and 904L Stainless Steel Plates. Grade selection depends on the operating environment, including temperature exposure, corrosion type, and mechanical load.
Austenitic grade with 18.0-20.0% Cr and 8.0-10.5% Ni; the most widely used stainless steel for food processing, dairy equipment, and general fabrication.
Low-carbon variant of 304 with carbon restricted to 0.030% maximum, used for welded fabrications where post-weld sensitisation must be prevented.
Heat-resistant austenitic grade with 24.0-26.0% Cr and 19.0-22.0% Ni for continuous service up to 1,150°C in furnace and kiln equipment.
Molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade (2.00-3.00% Mo) that resists pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride and marine environments.
Low-carbon version of 316 with carbon at 0.030% max, used for welded chemical tanks, pharmaceutical reactors, and marine equipment.
Titanium-stabilised version of 316 that resists intergranular corrosion at elevated temperatures up to approximately 900°C.
Titanium-stabilised austenitic grade for service in the 425-860°C sensitisation range; common in aircraft exhaust systems and expansion joints.
Niobium (columbium) stabilised grade offering better creep resistance than 321; used in refinery heat exchangers and high-temperature welded equipment.
Super austenitic grade with 4.0-5.0% Mo and 1.0-2.0% Cu for resistance to sulphuric acid, phosphoric acid, and chloride-rich seawater environments.
Industrial Applications of Stainless Steel Plates
Oil & Gas Industry
Pressure vessels, separators, and storage tanks in upstream and downstream oil and gas operations use stainless plates. NACE-compliant grades are specified for sour service conditions.
Chemical & Petrochemical Processing
Reactor vessels, distillation columns, and pipe racks in chemical plants need plates that can resist mixed acid environments.
Food & Beverage Processing
304 and 316L stainless steel plates are common in dairy, brewing, and storage because they keep food clean and don’t change its taste.
Pharmaceutical Industry
Pharmaceutical equipment and clean-room walls often use 316L stainless plates because they are chemically stable, easy to clean, and can have very smooth finishes like electropolished or BA.
Marine & Offshore
Marine-grade stainless steel plates can withstand seawater for long periods. Corrosion-resistant steel (CRES) plates are often used in offshore structures and ship equipment.
Power Generation
Boiler drums, superheater tubes, and flue gas systems in power plants use 321 plates for high-temperature resistance. Nuclear power plants specify low-carbon grades with controlled cobalt content.
Construction & Architecture
In modern buildings, stainless plates act as facades, roofs, and connectors; 304 grade with No.4 or mirror finish combines strength and aesthetics.
