Resistance to Corrosion: When compared to 310 stainless steel plates which although possess excellent heat resistance are much more prone to pitting and crevice corrosion in aggressive environments, 316ti stainless steel plates offer much better resistance to corrosion in chloride-laden atmospheres like marine or industrial chemical environments.

Weldability: There is better weldability of 316ti than that of 310 stainless steel. The titanium present in the 316ti prevents the precipitation of carbides during welding and thus minimizes the chances of corrosion in the welded sections. More difficulties are encountered by 310 stainless steel when it is welded, particularly under high-temperature conditions.
Durability in Corrosive Environments: 316ti excels in chemical and marine environments, offering more effective protection against corrosion, whereas 310 stainless steel, while resistant to oxidation at high temperatures, is not as effective in chloride-rich or acidic conditions.
