Compositions and Properties of Inconel 718 Sheet

The outstanding properties of nickel alloy 718 sheets make its unique chemical composition and mechanical attributes. With 50-55% nickel and 17-21% chromium content, this alloy provides oxidation and corrosion resistance. It has a maximum content of 0.08% carbon to provide increased weldability without compromising on strength. Its 135,000 psi (930 MPa) tensile strength and 75,000 psi (482 MPa) yield strength offer greater mechanical resistance, while an elongation of 45% provides flexibility when stressed.
