Composition and Mechanical Properties of Hastelloy C2000 Sheet

The unique composition of Hastelloy C2000 Sheet includes nickel (approx. 59%), chromium (23%), molybdenum (16%), copper (1.6%), iron (5%), and cobalt (2%), which together enhance its corrosion resistance. The addition of copper provides exceptional protection against sulfuric acid, while molybdenum increases its strength and resistance to localized corrosion, such as pitting and crevice corrosion. Chromium ensures excellent oxidation resistance, making it suitable for high-temperature applications. With a tensile strength of 690 MPa and yield strength of 283 MPa, ensuring structural stability under extreme conditions. Its elongation of 45% makes it highly ductile and easy to fabricate, allowing for complex forming and welding operations. The hardness (Rockwell B90) enhances its durability, making it ideal for challenging industrial environments.
